The Bullitt County Democratic Party. Good people, like you.
Donned in our newly printed "Ditch Mitch" t-shirts, Bullitt County Democratic Party delegates met at the Shepherdsville City Hall on Saturday, June 7, to carpool to the state convention at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Though this was a small step in the Democratic march to Washington, it was an adventurous day.
Our adventures began with the error in the seating of our Bullitt Co. delegates. This caused a slight stir in our 2nd Congressional District Caucus but then we created an outright commotion when we nominated Nick Sweat twice to serve on the State Central Committee - once as a man and later as a youth. Thanks to the courageous challenging by Shirley Lack and Scott Wantland we were allowed to nominate Nick for both seats!
Other adventures included finding a place to eat lunch, meeting with Bruce Lunsford for a photo op and taping YouTube presentations.
This was a convention that won't be soon forgotten. Thanks to all who attended!
