Message from the chair

Congratulations to Barak Obama, Linda Belcher and our Democratic city council members! The election of these tremendous local and national leaders bring faith in the return to prosperity in our country. And congratulations to you who have worked in so many ways to promote our Democratic candidates.

There is no election in 2009 but that does not mean we have time to rest. The next election, in 2010, will be even more montrous than the 2006 election. City and county elected offices will be up for election as will most state ofiices. In addition to those local and state races, we will be vying for a seat in the 2nd congressional district and one Kentucky senate seat.

We know that when Democrats are in office, our country and community is proserous. We have seen the devasting results of Republicans in power both locally and nationally and it is not an option to ever let that happen again!
